Azuri Technologies Cambridge packaging design for award winning PayGo solar home system
Azuri Technologies have developed a range of award winning PayGo solar home systems for rural off-grid communities in sub Saharan Africa, which allows users to pay for solar power on a pay-as-you-go basis. Providing clean, safe renewable power to families for lighting at about half the cost of the kerosene it replaces.
Azuri’s entry-level PayGo solar home system can provide 8 hours of clean solar lighting each day and the opportunity to charge mobile phones at home, with top-up payments being possible by either scratchcard or by mobile phone. Importantly, this top-up is priced to cost less than their current weekly spend on kerosene and phone charging, so customers start making savings straight away.
Azuri Technologies, based in Cambridge, approached ImageVitae for help with a design update of their original PayGo solar home system packaging. This involved creating a new 2D and 3D product illustration of the PayGo solar units for use on the front of box and marketing. The resizing and updating of the existing packaging files to new printers grids. The updating of the imagery, icons and content and the updating of the dual language instruction manual.
Subsequently, Azuri also required the creation of a new 2D and 3D product illustration of their PayGo Solar TV unit, for packaging and promotional use on it’s release.
